On Our Radar (10/02/2018)

“Where You At” Vincent Caira  (Spacedisco)
Love the love the Chicago styled horns in this House release. Breezy, groovy and so very easy on the ears. An excellent release!

“Move (Time To Get Loose)” Young Romantic  (Casablanca)

One of the biggest underground club hits of the year with a vocal very much like Janet Jackson comes up for air on Casablanca!
Mix it with “Made For Now”. Features a hook-of-death piano line and a horn sample from “Give Me Your Love” by Sylvia Striplin (1981).

“Love U Right” Tritonal ft. Lourdiz (Enhanced Music)

A solid track that walks that fine line between pop and club music. Check out all 4 mixes including the DallasK Remix with it’s bouncy synth lines.

“Move Your Tongue” Flatdisk (EGO)

This is a very cool funky House track! It melds together various familiar sounds from different styles of Dance Music to create something quite original. Try this if you haven’t yet.

“Together” Alex Gaudino & Nari ft. Pope  (Ego)
A wonderful and happy House release with the brilliant use of a horn sample from the disco classic “Zodiacs” by Roberta Kelly. This is as good as it gets, people!

“Perfectly Chic” Alfa Anderson (Rammit/Aires Ent.)

From the vocals to the guitar work, the entire feel of this tune recreates the sound of the legendary Disco band Chic to perfection. The 83 West mix pumps up the tempo and is more on the Deep House tip.

“Crazy, Happy, Groove!” Maurizio Basilotta (Which Bottle?)

A very sophisticated Disco House track complete with a new trend in guitar licks in dance music. This is a very strong club cut!

“A Deeper Love” Aretha Franklin  (Odessa Mama)
When Aretha first covered this C&C Music Factory smash it was a curious choice because it was so close to the Original. It never became the hit it could’ve been. This new release from Odessa Mama is the right mix at the right time to keep Aretha alive on dance floors.

Image may contain: text“We Get Ravey” Timo ODV(Universal South Africa)

South Africa comes to the party hard on “We Get Ravey!” If you are familiar with the South African Dance Music scene, this will come as a total surprise, but one that works. This will sound amazing peak evening in a big room, and funky enough to work in smaller spaces as well. What a welcome surprise for sure!

“Think About You” Discover, Sharapov (Which Bottle?)

This track will hit your dance floor and immediately put a smile on everyone’s face.
It is breezy and ight with just the right vocal. The bassline is straight out of 1977 and screams D-I-S-C-O. You all need this!

“Let It All Go” Pyne (Open House Records)

The mid 90’s Italo House sound is making a comeback, and this Pyne single has all the elements that made that sound so appealing. Alluring vocals over a breezy track focused as much on the ear candy of the highs as they are on the bassline. Hit this one often!

“Bitches” is a super funky House track with a spoken word vocal. This is peak of the evening underground goodness! Have a listen.

“American Boy” Ely Bruna ft. Neja (Irma Dancefloor)

This is awesome! Ely Bruna turns this cover of the hit Estelle song into a faithful rendition to the Original. With a bit of kick and slight tempo increase, we’ve got a winner here!

“You Used To Hold Me” Scott & Leon (Nip n Tuck Music)

The Ralphi Rosario original used to pack the floors in NY and the rest of the world. This Scott & Leon Re-Rub is an original take on a timeless classic!

No automatic alt text available.“In My Name” Propulsive  (PM Recordings)
Check out this female vocal-driven pop track that would already be on your turntables if it was on the radio! Listen to the synth line in the break that mimics a trumpet!

“Sticks & Stones” Metro ft. Nelly Furtado (Radikal)

You may remember Metro as the guy behind Cher’s comeback hit “Believe.” He is back this time spreading his magic over Nelly Furtado – herself in need of a comeback. “Sticks & Stones” is one of the strongest releases to end the summer!

“Your Love” Savi & Dyson (Enhanced Music)

This is a great pop track with the tag line “your love will be the death of me”. Who hasn’t felt that at some point in their life? Savu & Dyson paint that picture vividly and the vocalist really delivers on that tagline!

“So Scared” Alex Kepler ft. Kastoway (LoveStyle)

End the summer with a sunny track like “So Scared.” The synth lines are bouncey, playful and sure to put a smile even on the most jaded of faces. The VIP Mix (aka the Club Mix) clocks in at under 4 minutes. Short and sweet!

“La Banda” Vassa, Rio Dela Duna ft. El Chino (Which Bottle?)

Viva Espana! This floor packer is peak of the evening music and a super way to inject a serious Latin vibe onto your dance floor! The Latin rhythm track will make it impossible for the punters to sit still. The horns on this track are everything! Brilliant!

“Made For Now” Janet Jackson ft. Daddy Yankee (Rhythm Nation)

Janet Jackson is back and at her best! This is the comeback hit of 2018! Daddy Yankee brings some Latin sabre to a track whose overall feel is Puerto Rico on the Dancefloor! Buenisimo!

“Rachel Green” Ruben Young ft. Hodgy (CLK)

The kind of R&B track that will work at a Lounge, a Steppers Party or while lounging on the beach. Those in the know will love the Friends TV show references in the lyrics. With vocal delivery on point, look no further for a great R&B track to end your night!

“Oye Como Ghetto” Angelo Ferrei vs Santana  (#DBMafia)
#DBMafia brings us more summer heat! Angelo Ferreri turns this Santana classic into a credible House track that will rock Lounges and clubs worldwide.

“The Word” Felipe Avelar (Spacedisco)

Spacedisco serves up a very funky, seriously filtered House track that utilizes bits of the McFadden & Whitehead classic “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” without giving us too much.

“Feels Real Funky” N2N (Which Bottle?)

Are you a sucker for a funky soulful House track with nice horn work? We are, and that is exactly what this is! Also makes a great transition track as well. Play it early as the crowds are just coming in to help them feel the groove and loosen up.

“Humming” Robbie Rivera (Juicy Music)

This track is hot, as Robbie takes everyone on a journey. Enjoy the ride. The percussion on this is so clean while the rhythm track gets you groovin’. This is a summer track but we suspect it will bring on the heat even in the dead of winter. Brilliant stuff!

“Teardrops” Luca Debonaire  (Which Bottle?)
“Teardrops” is on fire! This is a super strong, Disco-House drenched Vocal track. Simply put, this is a perfect club track. Great stuff again from Which Bottle?

“Crack Of Dawn” Crack Of Dawn (Eric Alper PR)

This is music the way it was and the way it should be again! “Crack Of Dawn” is some serious Earth, Wind & Fabulous! An awesome retro Disco-Funk track with killer vocals, a great song and heavenly horns! So crazy cool!

Bozami EP  “Grove” by Arkane (Open House Deep)

Underground House is alive and well on this release. Look for the sample from from “Hupendi Muziki Wangu” by K.I.D. It is so simple and such a small snippet but it is everything in this track.

“Music” Chris Feelding (Sugar Sugar)

It’s not a party until you put the “Music” on! This release has that same exuberance you feel as you hit that euphoric high brought on from a night of dancing to sweet soulful House music!

“Weekend” Oliver Bach  (K4 Music)
If you can use a slice of retro Progressive Disco, this is it a seriously good up-tempo track for people in a Big Room or a Backroom!

“All This Time” Kenny Hectyc (Tommy Boy)

Kenny Hectyc serves up a classic commercial House track. Top-notch production, a great song coupled with beautiful soulful vocals and you have a musical cocktail to get drunk on! Is that Whitney Houston singing? No, it can’t be.

“Choose Hope (Remixes)” Camille (Zarion)

Camille drops a new set of mixes to celebrate the entry into the USA Billboard Club Chart Top 20. Allow us to point you to the Angel Manuel Quick Hit Mix. It is Acid House the way we remember and loved it back in the day. It sure is funky!

“Only Can Get Better” Silk City ft. Diple, Mark Ronson & Daniel Merriweather (Columbia)

Check out this House track with an electro soulful edge. There is also a super strong remix from Claude VonStroke that warrants your attention. A Very strong release for sure.
