On Our Radar (09/28/2018)

“Together” Alex Gaudino & Nari ft. Pope  (Ego)
A wonderful and happy House release with the brilliant use of a horn sample from the disco classic “Zodiacs” by Roberta Kelly. This is as good as it gets, people!

“Perfectly Chic” Alfa Anderson (Rammit/Aires Ent.)

From the vocals to the guitar work, the entire feel of this tune recreates the sound of the legendary Disco band Chic to perfection. The 83 West mix pumps up the tempo and is more on the Deep House tip.

“Crazy, Happy, Groove!” Maurizio Basilotta (Which Bottle?)

A very sophisticated Disco House track complete with a new trend in guitar licks in dance music. This is a very strong club cut!

Mismisimo’s previous hit “This Is House” was a huge hit. “Reacto” is a serious House track that will wreck any dance floor. This is House music like we love it!

“A Deeper Love” Aretha Franklin  (Odessa Mama)
When Aretha first covered this C&C Music Factory smash it was a curious choice because it was so close to the Original. It never became the hit it could’ve been. This new release from Odessa Mama is the right mix at the right time to keep Aretha alive on dance floors.

South Africa comes to the party hard on “We Get Ravey!” If you are familiar with the South African Dance Music scene, this will come as a total surprise, but one that works. This will sound amazing peak evening in a big room, and funky enough to work in smaller spaces as well. What a welcome surprise for sure!

“Think About You” Discover, Sharapov (Which Bottle?)

This track will hit your dance floor and immediately put a smile on everyone’s face.
It is breezy and ight with just the right vocal. The bassline is straight out of 1977 and screams D-I-S-C-O. You all need this!

“Let It All Go” Pyne (Open House Records)

The mid 90’s Italo House sound is making a comeback, and this Pyne single has all the elements that made that sound so appealing. Alluring vocals over a breezy track focused as much on the ear candy of the highs as they are on the bassline. Hit this one often!

“Electricity” Silk City, Dua Lipa ft. Diplo & Mark Ronson  (Columbia)
Inspired by piano-laden Chicago house classics, quite simply put, this is one of the finest singles to come out all year! Go to You Tube and check out this video!

“Bitches” Brennan
(BeatFixed Recordings)

“Bitches” is a super funky House track with a spoken word vocal. This is peak of the evening underground goodness! Have a listen.

“American Boy” Ely Bruna ft. Neja (Irma Dancefloor)

This is awesome! Ely Bruna turns this cover of the hit Estelle song into a faithful rendition to the Original. With a bit of kick and slight tempo increase, we’ve got a winner here!

“You Used To Hold Me” Scott & Leon (Nip n Tuck Music)

The Ralphi Rosario original used to pack the floors in NY and the rest of the world. This Scott & Leon Re-Rub is an original take on a timeless classic!

No automatic alt text available.“In My Name” Propulsive  (PM Recordings)
Check out this female vocal-driven pop track that would already be on your turntables if it was on the radio! Listen to the synth line in the break that mimics a trumpet!

“Sticks & Stones” Metro ft. Nelly Furtado (Radikal)

You may remember Metro as the guy behind Cher’s comeback hit “Believe.” He is back this time spreading his magic over Nelly Furtado – herself in need of a comeback. “Sticks & Stones” is one of the strongest releases to end the summer!

“Your Love” Savi & Dyson (Enhanced Music)

This is a great pop track with the tag line “your love will be the death of me”. Who hasn’t felt that at some point in their life? Savu & Dyson paint that picture vividly and the vocalist really delivers on that tagline!

“So Scared” Alex Kepler ft. Kastoway (LoveStyle)

End the summer with a sunny track like “So Scared.” The synth lines are bouncey, playful and sure to put a smile even on the most jaded of faces. The VIP Mix (aka the Club Mix) clocks in at under 4 minutes. Short and sweet!
