Be warned, playing either of these tunes may require an ambulance call… 😉

Robbins Entertainment has produced hit records since 1996. Most of the artists signed to the label have been European acts which were also successful overseas. Also, American acts such as Rockell and Reina have had Billboard Hot 100 hits. DJ Sammy gave Robbins its first top 10 Hot 100 hit in 2002 with “Heaven” and DHT’s ‘Listen To Your Heart’ also made #8 on the U.S. charts, and #1 on Pop Airplay. Two other Belgian acts, Ian Van Dahl and Lasgo also made the U.S. Billboard charts.

Robbins has recently attracted further foreign talent with Germany’s Cascada, which helped the company gain more success when Everytime We Touch, What Hurts the Most, and most recently Evacuate The Dancefloor became mainstream pop hits as well. Robbins is sure to produce many more hit records in the years to come.

zipDJ is now 3 years old and has emerged as one of the best digital promotion services on the planet. What started out as a digital pool with a few dozen registered DJs in Canada and the USA has now spread to hundreds of DJs in the club and radio sectors worldwide.

The music industry landscape has changed drastically over the past decade, however marketing and promotion initiatives remain status quo. New music releases must be promoted. This was recognized back in 2004, when zipDJ operated under the name of Musicab. With input from the major labels, Musicab was designed as an efficient way to deliver new promotional releases to DJs in the DJ Pools at a time when traditional physical product was drying up. zipDJ emerged in 2007 with a mandate to penetrate the US marketplace as more international labels began using the service for their own promotion purposes.

Through the years, zipDJ’s list of label partners has grown to over 500 major & independent music labels and digital distributors worldwide. But it’s not just the distribution that matters. A state-of-the-art website offers extensive feedback and statistics in the form of raw data and pie charts to help labels assimilate the information needed to market and promote effectively. To aid in marketing and promotion initiatives, zipDJ was also designed to compile and create official charts for each of its label partners in their respective territories around the world. Currently, zipDJ is compiling official charts for Club, Dance and Urban music in the territories of Canada, USA and Belgium.

The future looks promising for zipDJ. Having just launched new offices in Belgium and the Netherlands, zipDJ will continue to represent the cutting edge of music industry marketing and promotion.
